What is Denim Day?

A “Denim Day” is when staff members or students donate $10 in exchange for the opportunity to wear jeans or dress down on one day of your choosing.  It’s a fun and simple way to rally your team to give back to children in need!

Sounds great!  How Do We Start?

  1. Choose a day (or even a week if you prefer) to designate as “Denim Day” – the day when participants will dress down (according to your own guidelines/dress code).
  2. Collect voluntary donations of $10 per person (and send the funds to TIF), or start a simple fundraising page on Crowdrise where participants can make their own donations online via credit card and a fun scrolling list of participants boosts participation.  If you need help starting a Crowdrise page, please contact us at 646-520-4878.
  3. Promote the fundraiser to your team your newsletter, in person, via email, and even on social media so everyone knows how to participate.
  4. Share photos of your #DenimDay on Facebook and Twitter – don’t forget to tag us!

97% of every donation directly supports our programs that bring the magic of play into the lives of kids going through some really rough times.  The children we serve are living in homeless shelters, moving in and out of foster homes, undergoing cancer treatments, and facing other difficult situations.  All children deserve happy childhood memories – regardless of their circumstance.  Your team can help!
