Giving Tuesday: Donate to Kids in Need

November 27, 2018 | What could bring more happiness to a child than playing a fun board game with friends, hugging a beloved stuffed animal, or intensely concentrating on a puzzle? All children deserve a chance to experience the magic of play but not every kid has access to enriching toys and games. The Toy Foundation (TTF) is asking toy industry professionals to use Giving Tuesday – a day set aside on the first Tuesday after Thanksgiving to support a favorite charity – to help kids in need.

For those looking to participate and support the toy industry’s philanthropic efforts, contributing to The Toy Foundation (TTF) is a great way to help underprivileged youth around the country experience of joy of play. Last year, TTF provided much needed toys and play to more than 1.2 million kids suffering from adverse situations, including those who are homeless, in foster care, or dealing with life-threatening illnesses.

Help put more smiles on these children’s faces through your Giving Tuesday financial donation, which will help the Foundation’s core programs and partnerships – including Play Your Part events and other crucial toy drives throughout the year that benefit disadvantaged children throughout the U.S and globally. Ninety-seven cents of every dollar received directly funds TTF programs, including giving brand-new donated toys to kids who need it most as well as grant funding to community charities around the world.

Toy professionals can donate now or contact Jeffrey Kolsch, development manager at The Toy Foundation, to learn more. All donations are tax deductible.
